The Vision

I aim to create a spa hotel where guests can experience deep tranquility and harmony, inspired by the beauty and serenity of Norwegian nature. My goal is for Zen Hotel in Voss to be a sanctuary where stress melts away as soon as you step through the door, with natural elements woven into every detail to offer a holistic and accessible experience for all.

Reseption

In the reception area of Zen Hotel, I aimed to create an atmosphere of immediate calm, inspired by the beauty of Norwegian nature. The ceiling is inspired by the Northern Lights, with floating forms that create a soothing effect, contrasting with the earthy tones in the room. A waterfall integrated into the reception area enhances this serene environment, with the sound of trickling water contributing to a holistic and harmonious experience. The space is divided into several zones, allowing guests to relax by the fireplace or enjoy a coffee while they wait. The reception is also universally designed to ensure that all guests feel welcome.

Hotel room

I designed the hotel rooms at Zen Hotel as a natural extension of the spa experience, creating an atmosphere that promotes deep tranquility and relaxation. Inspired by the harmonious colors and materials of Norwegian nature, I carefully crafted each room with thoughtfully designed zones to offer guests a comfortable and stress-free experience. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a spacious wardrobe solution where everything from luggage to clothing can be easily stored. I included a comfortable seating area by the window, where guests can enjoy the view or relax with a book, along with a fireplace that creates a warm and inviting ambiance. The rooms also feature a balcony, offering access to fresh air and a connection to the surrounding nature. Elements from the reception, such as the Northern Lights-inspired lamps, are also present in the rooms to create a cohesive and seamless experience throughout the hotel. The bed is equipped with practical features like light switches, curtain controls, and charging outlets within easy reach, ensuring an optimal experience for all.

Bathroom

I designed the bathrooms at Zen Hotel with a focus on both luxury and functionality, making them a central part of the spa experience. Spacious showers with a seating bench and handrails were chosen to ensure comfort and safety for all guests. The bathtubs are strategically placed to offer views of Voss’s stunning natural landscape, allowing guests to relax while taking in the scenery. The full-length mirror with LED lighting on both sides provides optimal illumination and adds a touch of luxury. Every element in the bathroom has been carefully considered to enhance the guests' total relaxation and comfort.
