Nurcing Home
To create a space that seamlessly blends functionality with warm, cozy surroundings, where the elderly can experience both dignity and joy in their daily lives. I aim to design an environment that fosters social interaction and community, offering opportunities for meaningful activities such as art, music, and gardening, all with nature as a central element of the experience. Through carefully selected materials, textures, and a soothing color palette, every detail will contribute to a sense of calm, safety, and belonging. The goal is for Inspira Nursing Home to be more than just a place to live—it should be a space where life continues to grow, where the elderly can form new relationships, create memories, and find joy in their everyday surroundings, all within a setting that feels as welcoming as home.
The cafeteria is designed as a dignified space for social interaction, where good food and comfort take center stage. It’s a place where families can gather for dinner, and residents can get to know each other as well as those attending the daycare, while enjoying meals prepared by the nursing home’s own chef. The design encourages interaction, with an atmosphere that reflects a sense of dignity.
In the living room, the heart of the nursing home, carefully selected furniture offers a feeling of comfort and dignity. Residents can relax and enjoy the stunning panoramic view, read a book from the nursing home’s library, or gather around the fireplace for conversations and socializing. This space is designed to create a calm and dignified atmosphere where social interaction is at the forefront.
On the rooftop terrace, residents can grow plants and experience the joy of contributing to something meaningful by nurturing and caring for them. They can also chat with other residents or invite their grandchildren to join in the process. In the evenings, the rooftop terrace becomes a beautiful gathering space, filled with good food, stunning views, and laughter that brings the space to life. The design creates a warm and meaningful atmosphere, where community and joy are at the heart of the experience.
The resident rooms feature private bathrooms, small kitchenettes, and a dedicated sleeping area. The rooms are designed with warm colors to create an atmosphere of calm, dignity, and privacy. Each room provides residents with a personal and secure space where they can retreat and relax in comfortable surroundings. The design balances functionality and comfort, allowing residents to feel both independent and cared for in their own rooms.
The nursing home will provide a range of meaningful activities where residents can express their creativity, form new connections, and experience joy. There is a dedicated music room, complete with a stage and instruments, where they can join the choir, and an art room where they can paint, weave, and relax while taking in the beautiful view.
